Mexico and South Africa tied 1x1. The game was balanced but not very impressive. Both teams played OK and had their chances at additional goals. However, they were not technically good.
The major controversial call was an offsides call that took away a goal from Mexico. There were two Mexican players involved in the play. On a corner kick, one player, who was clearly in an onside position, chested the ball and it looked like the ball went in. The second player, who was clearly in an offsides position when the ball was chested, ran toward the ball. It is impossible for me to tell what happened next but he was called for offsides. The only way that call could be right is if he touched the ball before in completely crossed the goal line. Apparently, the refry thought he did. If so, it is his fault that Mexico did not win this game.
